Plastic Surgery, Maxillofacial & Oral Health

The University of Virginia Plastic Surgery, Maxillofacial, and Oral Health Department aims to provide exceptional service through:

  • Patient care
  • Education
  • Research
  • Outreach

For decades, UVA’s Plastic Surgery department has established a legacy of excellence. As we’ve adapted and incorporated complementary divisions, like dentistry, we’ve created new opportunities for innovation and research.

For our patients, we offer outstanding care. For our students, we offer a unique opportunity to pursue leadership, career development, and public health engagement while gaining advanced technical expertise in their field.

We believe that plastic surgery and oral health can impact patients’ lives. Both reconstructive and aesthetic procedures focus on the whole patient. We dedicate time and effort into understanding the challenges patients face and involving them in medical decision making.

In order to advance patient care, our program emphasizes the importance of research and discovery. The diverse program offerings and interest areas within the UVA Plastic Surgery, Maxillofacial, and Oral Health department create a unique and rich ecosystem that complements our values and drives our mission.
