Brain Tumor Treatment

We are a multidisciplinary program of the UVa Health System dedicated to providing brain tumor treatment for adults and children. Our philosophy of care is to offer patients and their families a full spectrum of innovative, advanced brain tumor treatments within a coordinated, team-based approach focused on maximizing quality of life.

Patients at UVA benefit from some of the most advanced brain tumor treatments for neurological cancers, including clinical trials and the Gamma Knife, a powerful instrument that directs radiation to brain tumors without surgery. UVA's neurology & neurosurgery and cancer programs are ranked among the best in the country by U.S. News & World Report, and the UVA Cancer Center is one of only two National Cancer Institute (NCI)-designated Clinical Cancer Centers in Virginia.
