Current Clinical Trials

Clinical Trials

Clinical trials are organized programs to determine the safety and effectiveness of a new drug or therapy. As such, they provide unique opportunities for many patients who have not been helped with standard methods of treatment. Patients in a clinical trial are among the first to receive new research treatments before they are widely available.

Clinical trials are not open to everyone. Each trial protocol (detailed plan) will generally specify the type of brain tumor under investigation, the age and general health of the individual who will participate in the trial, and other treatments that the person has already received.

Below is an incomplete listing of our clinical trials.  If you have questions about any of these trials, or would like to find out what other trials may be available, please contact our Clinical Trials Office at 434-243-6669, or call David Schiff, M.D., at 434-982-4415.
