Dr. Weber has overall responsibility for orchestrating the research, clinical, and educational components of the Cancer Center. He chairs the Cancer Center Leadership group, whose members include representation from many of the major stake-holders in the Cancer Center: Hematology-Oncology, Surgical Oncology, Radiation Oncology, Basic and Translational Research, and Clinical Operations. He also chairs the CCSG Executive Committee, which is the major organizational tool for fostering basic, translational, and clinical cancer research. Dr. Fracasso as Deputy Director assists Dr. Weber in these leadership functions, with a specific emphasis on clinical research. Dr. Parsons serves as the primary liaison between the laboratory based research of the Cancer Center (Programs 1-6) and the clinical research centered in Program 7-Developmental Therapeutics. Dr. Fox offers leadership and guidance to the Shared Resource Directors and Faculty Directors for scientifically sophisticated and fiscally effective operation of the Cores. Dr. O'Leary has administrative responsibility for research operations, including pilot projects, basic and clinical research, and utilization of research Cores by Cancer Center members. Dr. Weiss and Dr. Taylor have responsibility for ensuring that the oncology clinical enterprise functions to support clinical and translational research. Ms. Eadie has administrative and coordinating responsiblity for clinical operations. |
