The backbone of the project consists of a catalogue of over 2000 long and short bibliographic records of works written or edited by Dr. White and other seminal contributions to the field of Health Services Research. The records are divided into thirty-five categories that will allow easy access to literature on different subjects. Because each book was assigned its place in the catalogue by Dr. White, each researcher will be engaged with his train of thought as the catalogue is searched. Links between a book's long and short record will be marked by yellow buttons in the long records and by the beginning numbers in the short records.
A second branch of the display is an exhibit of the core concepts and methods used in Health Services Research. Links to this section will be marked by red buttons.
The third branch is an introduction to Kerr White's contribution to Health Services Research and the ongoing contribution of the Rockefeller Foundation to this discipline. This section includes a short biography of Dr. White and his recent remarks concerning new directions in the field. Links to this section will be marked by blue buttons.
Within this basic structure, hypertext links will permit each researcher to move freely between different parts of the display. The red, yellow or blue buttons indicate where each link leads the user in the overall framework of the display. Click on this icon of Kerr White's "primary care" cube, to return to the home page of the exhibit at any time.
